TCG: The History, The Designers & The Mission...

WE ARE UTILITY AND DESIGN PATENT PENDING!!

Meet Taylor Snider, a 32-year-old transsexual woman based in Los Angeles, California, who has fearlessly embraced her identity for the past 14 years. For many of her adult years, Taylor worked as a "sugar baby" of sorts, an experience that surprisingly brought her not only lifelong, dependable friendships but also a better quality of life for herself and her family. Grateful for the opportunities her natural privileges afforded her, Taylor decided it was time to step outside her comfort zone and create something she could be proud of - a legacy with real value.

During her frequent domestic travels for work, Taylor often found herself struggling with heavy and impractical luggage, leading to discomfort and bruises. This inspired her to create a brand that paid a humorous homage to her profession, while addressing the practical needs of travelers. The brand she envisioned, "Traveling Career Girl" (TCG), combined functionality and style, offering bespoke genuine leather luggage and accessories.

To ensure the highest quality for her brand, Taylor sought the expertise of her best friend, Colton Helfrecht, an accomplished leather designer with his own successful brand, "COLTY LEATHER." Together, they embarked on a collaborative journey to bring "TRAVELING CAREER GIRL" to life, working tirelessly through numerous prototypes to perfect every intricate detail of their products. Every inch of leather, every small piece of hardware, every zipper, every keychain- is sourced within 1000 miles and handcrafted from start to finish directly from their design studio.

Determined to promote inclusivity and representation, Taylor and Colton assembled a small team of skilled seamstresses, who are trans as well. They were committed to highlighting the full trans effort invested in the creation of their brands along with creating jobs for people in their community. In a world where transgender individuals face adversity and discrimination, Taylor has aimed to use her brand as a platform to showcase trans success and challenge stereotypes.

The launch of "TRAVELING CAREER GIRL" became a significant milestone for Taylor, allowing her to redefine herself beyond the labels that society often imposed. As the CEO of the brand, she felt immensely grateful for the support and belief shown by her ever-growing network of supporters who recognized her talents and passion for her craft.

But the journey didn't stop there. Taylor and Colton are eager to expand and grow their brands as sister brands, with plans to release more exceptional, bespoke genuine leather products in the near future. Their dedication to excellence and representation led to their first collaborative runway show on October 6, 2023 in Portland, OR (FashioNxt- Portland Fashion Week). The runway was star studded and was able to garner over 1,000,000 new engagements and views across all social media platforms. Their show and collection fully embraced diversity and featured leather as medium in an entirely new light.

"TRAVELING CAREER GIRL" is more than just a brand; it embodies empowerment, resilience, and the reclamation of identity. Taylor's story serves as a testament to the fact that anyone can rise above their past, challenge norms, and pave the way for their own success.

With every stitch, Taylor Snider and her brand "TRAVELING CAREER GIRL" strive to inspire change, fight stereotypes, and prove that, regardless of one's background or circumstances, dreams can be achieved, and success can be redefined. Together, they are making a bold statement and building a more inclusive and accepting world for everyone.
